Ulmo Diving Addaia is a recognised RYA training centre.
THE RYA COURSES WE OFFER:

|
RYA Level 2 Course: This is the most popular powerboat qualification
and is also known as the "National Powerboat Certificate".
Those gaining their level 2 certification can then apply to the
RYA for their ICC (International Certificate of Competence). The
course is suitable for all, even those who have never stepped on
a boat before.

You will find the course both interesting and challenging
- you can be sure of having a great time. You will be under
of the guidance of a qualified and experienced instructor
who will take you step by step through how to handle a powerboat.
We work to a ratio of maximum 3 students to 1 instructor.
The course is conducted over 2 days. The first day includes
basic boat handling skills, boat preparations, and slow and
high-speed manoeuvres. The second day involves a theory session
followed by further boat handling practice, high speed manoeuvres
etc…

After successful completion
of the course you will receive the powerboat level 2 certificate
allowing you to operate a vessel up to 10 meters in length
in tidal waters.
In order to obtain certification to operate a vessel of up
to 24 meters in length it is required to do a days evaluation
on a vessel of over 10 meters.

For the course
we use our ideal training vessel "Why Not", our 5.20m
Valiant semi rigid inflatable boat. It is moored in the port
of Addaia which has an excellent area for training. Port Addaia
is a natural and very large harbour allowing us to train in
an ideal environment. Nearby there are numerous beautiful bays
and beaches such as Mongofre and Arenal D'en Castell where part
of the training is also conducted.
Our large and fully equipped classroom, based in the centre
itself is used for the theory sessions.
All of our services are annually inspected by the RYA so along
side the RYA high standards and our own we ensure high quality
training and amenities.

ICC - International Certificate of Competence is required
in many European Countries when using or chartering vessels.
This includes Spain where it is against Spanish law to operate
a vessel without a valid certificate.
We only issue RYA certificates to British nationals or
residents of Britain.

| OTHER BOATING ACTIVITIES WE OFFER:
BOAT RENTAL: Although boat rental
is not a service we do on a regular basis we have the possibility
of renting depending on boat availability - contact us for
further information.
FURTHER TRAINING: We offer training
days - these are not courses and there will be no certification
provided. Aimed at boaters who have perhaps completed their
course but prefer to have more practice before setting out
alone. Also for boaters who have their own boat but would
like to learn more about the tricky entrance and exit of Addaia
harbour and who would like to learn more about the surrounding
area and the stunning coves and beaches available only to
